OCEMS MICN AUTHORIZATION

To be eligible for Authorization to practice in Orange County, all MICN’s must meet all of the following:
  1. Possess a valid, current State of California Registered Nursing license
  2. Not be precluded from accreditation to practice as an MICN for reasons defined in Section 1798.200 of the Health and Safety Code
  3. Be sponsored by an OCEMS designated Base Hospital
  4. Have a minimum of 1 year experience as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse
  5. Registered Nurses applying for MICN Authorization must complete requirements per OCEMS Policy #400.00 Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) Authorization.
